Working together, we conducted an in depth analysis of Venture North's competition, target audience and points of difference. Taking full advantage of the subject matter, we set out to create a stunningly visual online experience that's easy to use, but doesn't skimp on content.

As a key sales and marketing tool for Venture North, the website needed to appeal to tourists at every stage of their purchasing decision. Whether someone is researching tour options, comparing different tour operators, or is ready to book their tour the website aims to provide engaging content that positions Venture North as the clear choice. Every decision made throughout the web design process was focused on converting website visitors into customers.


Using our tried and tested research methods, we analysed Venture North's market and competitors. Through a set of discovery exercises, we uncovered insights about the website's target audience; their goals and needs. This meant we were able to put together a strategy, content plan, information structure and visual style that connects directly with Venture North's ideal client.


Drawing on our research findings, we developed an online strategy focused on engagement. Everything from the visual style of the site, to the content structure and presentation is designed to immerse qualified visitors in the experience of a Venture North tour and make it easy for them to take action.

Content and email marketing play a large part in driving traffic to the website and continiously improving search engine rankings for relevant search terms.

Venture North wins awards for its tours every year. They're masters of providing a comfortable, educational, and fun experience for their customers in one of the most visually spectacular parts of Australia. We knew we had to bring the stunning visuals of the landscape online, and give website visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a Venture North journey. We carefully considered photography, colour and texture to create a visual style that reflects both the setting of the tours, as well as the authenticity and quality of the product.

Tourism is going mobile

There's no doubt about it, mobile use is on the rise. Customers are using their smartphones and tablets to research products and buy online. Tourists are searching, comparing and booking tours from their mobile devices. Venture North's website is fully responsive, adapting to any screen size, and allows access to all website content and features no matter the device.

Make it easy

Ease of use on small devices, such as smart phones, is key to giving the visitor a great experience. Menus are easy to find and use, and call to actions (such as click-to-call and book now buttons) are easily accessible throughout the site.
