Reviews on social media are valuable to your business. Reviews act as a signal to search engines that your website is useful to customers. They also help customers to identify reputable and established businesses.
Reviews on your Google My Business page are available in your search results and can add credibility to your business.
A better way to request reviews
Let me show you a neat little technique that will let your Google My Business page automatically ask users to leave a review by linking directly to the review form itself.
All you need to do is to add ?review=1 to the end of your Google My Business page's address. This would make your link look something like:
For example: https://plus.google.com/+DashMediaDarwin/about?review=1.
Now when a visitor clicks a link to your Google My Business page they'll be prompted to add a review for your business. Click here to test it out for yourself.
The next time you're linking to your Google My Business page, remember to add ?review=1 to the end of the link. Don't forget to use the upgraded link whenever you ask your customers to leave a review for your business.
